BUYING

When you want to buy a used car you head straight for the used car garage right?

Well when you want to buy a used road bike you head to ebay. But ebay can be overwhelming and with no one to guide you through the second hand market there are a number of pitfalls you could easily fall into.

What size do you need?
What geometry/stem size/crank length?
What Groupset?
What Gearing?
Has the bike been crashed?
Is the frame cracked/corroded?
Is it stolen?
Is it fake?
Does everything work?
Does the drivetrain need replacing?
Is the seat post seized in place?
Are the wheels toast?

These are all questions you should be asking and if you’re not used to ebay all you’ll have to answer all the questions above is 3 blurry pictures and a brief description of “used”.

I’ve been buying and selling bikes on ebay for years and have been tinkering with them for as long as I can remember. When friends have come to me to ask for help finding a bike I’ve always obliged but it wasn’t until 2020 that I realised I wanted to turn it into a business.

So what is my vision?

Well I want to provide a place where you have a choice of road bikes that have been looked after throughout their first ownership and now provide an excellent opportunity to purchase at a considerable saving on their RRP. Quality, one careful owner, low mileage bikes that have been prepared for resale to the highest standards.

A trustworthy used car garage, only with bicycles instead of cars.

All my bikes undergo a rigorous inspection prior to me purchasing them and then once back at my workshop they are serviced thoroughly with any worn parts replaced. I can then prepare a detailed condition report so you know exactly what you are buying.

If you're looking to upgrade your existing road bike then remember I can offer a seamless part exchange service. Just drop me an email with details of your current bike and what you're looking to upgrade to.

As well as the above I want to be able to give newbie cyclists the best possible start on their road bike journey. If you’re new to the sport the initial outlay for everything you need can be quite scary so I aim to help take the sting out of it for you. I have a heavily stocked workshop of pre-owned pedals, shoes, cleats, pumps, bags, tools, accessories and clothing ready to purchase along with your first road bike.

Advice will always come for free, I’ve had some incredible adventures whilst riding my push iron and I want to encourage you to do the same. If you want to buy your first road bike but don’t know where to start then just give me a shout and let me get you on the road.

So that's how I can help you to buy a push iron but what if I don't have it in stock? Well then let me SOURCE you one!
